7. Artefactual

(a) Personal life

For coal there is no museum at Mansfield or in this area -  all the material that was left was transferred to the National Coal Mining Museum, Wakefield (telephone: 01924 848806). They do not have photos or archives. There is a Catalogue of the British Coal Collection but there is only a limited amount from the Midlands National Mining Records Centre, Berry Hill Mansfield (telephone: 01623 427162) contains only mining plans (technical).
